I remember when I tried to re-watch some of the old cartoons as an adult (an exercise which quickly reminded me to leave them to my childhood nostalgia)...
..in one episode, the Autobots used their guns to blast an entrance through a cave wall where the Decepticons were hiding...after a battle, the Decepticons used their guns to collapse said opening in wall, trapping the Autobots in the cave. The Autobots still had their guns, but for some reason were now helplessly trapped with no idea how to get out of the cave. Robots apparently have only a loose understanding of laser guns.
No internal logic- great.
G.I. Joe is about the same;
27 subplots in a 22 minute cartoon
Soundwave is Awesome...But, I'll leave that up to you
A great line of toys, and many happy memories; but
Why does a robot carry a gun?
